Hey y’all!
Thanks for popping in, I have prayed for you! This is going to be a shorter post than normal, but God laid this on my heart to share with you all!
Ya know when you’re scrolling through social media or maybe someone is telling a story of someone doing something really stupid or cruel? And the first thought that pops in your head, or maybe your first words in response are: “UGHH I hate people!!” You ever done that? I have. I am so guilty of saying this and not even meaning it. I am studying to be a Social Worker and later a Counselor so these stories that are worthy of “I hate people” seem to pop up very frequently for me. But there isn’t a piece of me that hates people, I am literally studying to HELP people.
God started dealing with me over this issue. So, I changed it to: “I hate stupid people.” SOO much better right? WRONG. God’s truth says:
Luke 6:45 (KJV) “…for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.”
OUCH. So even when we backtrack and say, “I don’t know why I said that, I don’t hate people” God’s truth says that this is how we truly feel. That makes this a condition of the heart issue. This is when it is important for us to remain in prayer more than ever. Specifically, to ask God to soften our heart.
Moving on. There are horrible people in the world doing horrible things. BUT once again, God’s truth says:
Ephesians 6:12 (KJV) “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
So, our issue isn’t even with people! This is a spiritual warfare. That doesn’t mean the rulers of the darkness aren’t going to USE people to drag you down and destroy you, he will. But we must remain vigilant in God’s word and it repeatedly tells us to:
Love your neighbor
Love others as yourself
Love your ENEMIES
There aren’t any gray areas here. God didn’t tell us to love others if they love us. God didn’t say love those who bake you cookies and knit you socks (lol you better love those people though), God said to: “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” (Matthew 6:43-48) Just the phrase “love one another” is spoken eleven times in the New Testament. You would think we would get the hint by now, but sometimes loving others is wayyy harder than it should be.
The biggest thing to take away from this is to never hate those with malicious intent but to love them, show kindness, and most of all PRAY for them. And pray for the strength to put this into practice! Pray for God to soften your heart and to love and forgive just like He does!
Your battles are SPIRITUAL. Your battles are sent from the enemy so that you may waver from God. And these battles? They mean you are right where you need to be. My daddy has always said that when Satan stops coming against you, that’s when you should worry.
Love you all so dearly!

Awesome message!!! I say all the time, “don’t have to like what has been done at all but we do have to keep on loving the person, keep on praying for the person, because if we quit then that person may be lost forever. U may be the only person praying for them.” Love u!!!!
